Tuesday brings more mug-club specials for the day at Tapistry and The Livery. Also, Greenbush is continuing its Bacon Week with bacon tacos today. Make sure to pick up your copy of the bacon activity book while there as there are prizes to be had.
The details are still eluding me, but the fact remains that Tapistry and http://www.tosis.com/ will be getting together for dinner and beer on March 5. How cool would that be? For all of the details go to Tosi’s.com. Kinda of surprised that Tapistry hasn’t posted anything on their site, Facebook page, or Twitter Feed. I’m sure they will soon.
With cold in hand I will sojourn on.
Btw, I posted a picture of Tapistry’s new menu, yesterday, but I forgot to show you what the new sandwiches look like. So, with no further ado, the sandwiches:

Here’s something of interest right here in my back yard, sort of: Tapistry is having a Beer/Cheese pairing event on Valentine’s Day for its mug-club members.
Here are the details:

How cool is that?
Hank Aaron had 755 homers in his career, which matches the consecutive days that I have been on this somewhat silly quest.
I don’t know why I’m mentioning this, at least I don’t know now, but it’s certainly more information than I usually post to this blog. For example: I was at Tapisty, sitting at the bar and enjoying a Reactor yesterday afternoon, and while there Keith was putting up the special of the day. Nothing really noteworthy in itself, but combined with the fact that I watched, and commented on his penmanship several times, you’d think that I would have related the special to you all. It was a in house made sausage with several ingredients, like eggs, pork, smoked chicken livers, and so on. I bet it was very good, but it’s probably all gone by now. Next week, I’ll pay more attention to Wurst Wednesday and report on same.
It seems that the party will end early at Greenbush.
It seems that Tapistry will be bringing in the new year with two small batch IPA’s on tap today. One English IPA and one Black IPA & a peanut butter brown ale on as well. Since they didn’t publish any revised hours, I would have to assume that they’ll be open until 10PM.
The Livery will be celebrating tonight with Team Trivia starting at 7:30pm, a fully loaded beer menu, and a few Bourbon-Barrel aged beers, Sojourner and Cherry Friek to be exact.
Arclight will be opened until 1am tomorrow with a blueberry wit that they have aptly named Blue Lunatic.
All of the above have food available except for Arclight, although there’s a great Mexican restaurant very close to them call La Chula. You can pick up some food to go and bring it to Arclight to enjoy with a beer or three.
I know there are dozens of other brew-pubs with an hour or two drive of me, but the above four are not only my favorites (And the closest to my house), but I’m a mug-club member at all of them.
Happy New Year!
