The Quest Continues…Drinking beer one day at a time

Don’t let this abnormally cold and snowy weather get you down, instead go out to your favorite brew-pub and hoist a couple of pints to ease the pain.

Here’s something that will warm the inner self, Tapistry is putting on a new batch Chocola Java Stout on tap the first week of December. I know that Spence will be very pleased. Also, Beatnik Blonde is coming back sometime this week. I just hope that this is a trend as their beer menu has been dwindling for the few weeks.

Speaking of beers coming back on tap, Greenbush has, finally, brought back Star Chicken Shotgun. I had a couple of pints yesterday, and am hoping that it will still be avialable today.

Before I forget, today, is Mug-Club Tuesday at Tapistry and The Livery.

Monday-Funday once again. Snow and preparing for it must have messed with my brain. Or is that Drain? What is Drain?

Burn ‘Em is canning! I had a taste of short, Pale Ale. Thanks, Justin!

Bought a six pack of Professor IPA from Cranker’s Brewery. I haven’t tried it as of yet, but am looking forward to sampling a couple of bottles later today.

Greenbush is having a Christmas party on December 6; Tickets go on sale at 6:00 PM on November 19. You can find more information on their Facebook page. Debbie and I are going to be there, and maybe Bruce, too. If you didn’t attend last year’s party, then you don’t know what you missed, and I’m sure this year’s party will be just as good if not better.

Made it through the blinding snow to, and from, Gonzo’s Bigg Dogg Brewery. Very enjoyable! I had a taste of their brandy barrel aged Imperial Stout (Nature of Evil), which I thought was very good. A taste of the Wheat Wine (Pinch Harmonic), which is a style of beer I usually don’t like, but this one was more to my tastes. A tulip glass of the Imperial Pale Ale (Phase Shifter), which was smooth and wonderful. And somewhere in between all of that I had a pint of their session IPA (Academy Slim), which was hoppy, light and refreshing. Finally I brought home a howler of their Double IPA (Yummy Hoppy Beer–gotta love the name), which I bought untasted so I’ll let you know later about this one. The food, or at least the appetizers I tried and the pizza I brought home, was very good. I just wish the place wasn’t so far from me, even though an hour each way isn’t that bad. I say that if you haven’t visited Gonzo’s then you need to put this place on your short list.

Tapistry has another Hoponacci on tap, this time with Amarillo Hops. Yummy good! Come on by and get some.

Something different today, along with the usual stuff that I do every day: I’m going to meet Bruce at Gonzo’s in Kalamazoo this afternoon to help them celebrate their one year anniversary. My first time there, so I’m very excited to try something different.

Movember 13…Is my nose crooked?

Before I post my daily, silly, Movember picture, I would like to raise my glass on this Veteran’s Day and say THANK YOU to all who have (and are currently serving) served in the Armed Forces of the United States. If any of you Veterans see me at Greenbush or Tapistry today, I would be more than happy to buy you a beer.

Don’t forget that it’s Mug-Club Tuesday at The Livery and Tapistry.
