Made the trip up to The Livery to see Sawyer off on his new adventure. The Firkin, and some really good conversation, was my reward.
Tapistry will start having Euchre games every Sunday starting March 2, from 2-6 pm. All players get a dollar off their first pint, too!
Just a suggestion to all of who do the rolling-through-the-stop-sign thing, be more observant than I was. Fortunately, I didn’t get a moving violation, just a ticket for no proof of insurance. I do have that at home, just not in the car where it belongs. Now, I need a beer.
First thing, before I forget to mention it, The Livery will be holding a send-off party for Dave Sawyer tomorrow night between 5-7. Sawyer is moving on to Bells and I wish him all the good fortune in the world. I know he’ll be missed at The Livery, but he’s not going to be far, and I know he won’t forget his time at there.
I was lucky enough today to be at Tapistry for the changing one of the taps from Sixteen Tons to Enigma; lucky in that I got a free pint of 16 Tons.
Cold outside. Warm and friendly inside Tapistry, even while drinking a Rye As A Kite.
Just got staples removed from my leg, so now I won’t rust when while drinking a Hoponacci at Tapistry. Although, I do have part of a broken screw in my tibia. Better hand me a wire brush and a can of Rust-Oleum.
It’s Monday! Need I say more?
The day after the Winter Beer Fest, and the stragglers are starting to congregate before their journeys home, or maybe just to another brew pub.
It’s cold and cloudy, it must be time for the annual Winter Brew Fest in Grand Rapids. Amongst a host of other Michigan brewers will be my favorite local three: The Livery, Tapistry and Greenbush. If you make it there, and survive, a good time will be had.
