The Quest Continues…Drinking beer one day at a time

Monthly Archives: July 2014

Tapistry just blew the last of their Kolsch, aka Boatslip. Don’t know if they’ll have more at a later date. Also, Greenbush has Emptiness, which is an apricot wheat ale, on tap. Very refreshing!

Cheers!

Finally, a nice summer-like day! To celebrate I’m having a Hoponacci for $3.00 at Tapistry, who just brought back Chocola Java Stout. I didn’t know it was gone until Spence came in to find it on tap after a long hiatus.

I found out yesterday, when I was at Greenbush, from Nicole, and then Scott, that their new beer garden will be open by the second weekend of August. I wouldn’t hold your breath, if I were you, because, well just because.

Cheers!

Tapistry has Hoponacci (Golden Rye Ale), Happy Colored Marbles (Belgium Oatmeal Stout), Bad Moon Horizon (Black Session IPA), & Arquebus (English IPA), all for $3.00/pint. Hurry up before they’re all gone!

Cheers!

As if it weren’t cold enough yesterday, this morning it was 45ºF! WTF! It’s only the end of July. I dread what winter will hold for us if this cooler than normal weather persists. Good thing it’s mug-club Tuesday at Tapistry or this would be really depressing.

Cheers!

No excuses for today, you got to be inside and drinking, and not just anything. It’s got to be your favorite craft beer, or a really good cup of coffee. I’ve chosen craft beer, such is my want.

If you don’t mind the strong winds and the cooler than normal temps, then take a growler down to the beach and watch the waves. They’re pretty impressive.

Cheers!

Except for the blue heron that crashed near my pond, there’s nothing more going on than drinking craft beer.

Ok, it’s now official! I have the pictures from my visit to Arclight ready for your perusal. So, with no further ado, here we go:

Cheers!

What an exciting day! I, along with Bruce, visited the newly opened Arclight Brewing. I not only sampled all of their current lineup, but became a lifetime Brew Club member ($100.00 for 20% off all beers and $2.00 of Growler fills, plus an empty growler and a t-shirt). I also met the head brewer, Ed and his assistant, Todd, as well as one of the partners, Dan, and one of the servers, Andy. Holy Crap! Pictures to come soon.

Cheers!

I’m just going to ignore the turmoil in the world, today, by drinking craft beer. I suggest that you do the same, too.

Cheers!

There’s no less turmoil in the world today, but the weather is very nice. Now, where will you find me? It’s really not a fair question, because I will be at two different places, and not at the same time. You can still guess if you want.

Cheers!
